Languages of Greyhawk: FLAN Language Family

 FLAN Language Family
(Real World Inspiration: Celtic language family)

Ur-Flan: Ancestral, now-dead language of the Flan people. Known only from ancient fragments of it.
Ancient Flan: Classical, now-defunct language of the Flan people.
Druidic: On Oerth, much of the vocabulary and grammar is derived from it.
Flan: More modern version of the language, little-spoken outside of some isolated regions, such as Tenh and the Rovers of Barren.

SCRIPTS
Most dialects of Flan use some version of the Common alphabet.
Druidic, however, makes extensive use of Ogham for its alphabet.

Rules: Knowing a language from within the same family group can, depending how closely related they are, grant comparative proficiency or rudimentary knowledge of the related languages.
