Lucky (3/Long Rest): Advantage on D20 test made by him OR disadvantage on opponent attack against him.
Remarkable Athlete: After scoring critical hit, can move up to 15 ft. without provoking attacks of opportunity.
Resourceful: Automatically gain Heroic Inspiration after Long Rest.
Tactical Mind: When he fails an ability check, he can expend one use of Second Wind to push himself to success. Roll D10 and add result to ability check. If check still fails, do not expend use of Second Wind.
Tactical Shift: When he activates Second Wind, can move up to 15 ft. without provoking opportunity attacks.

ACTIONS
Multiattack: May make up to two attacks with his Defender +3 longsword.
Defender +3 (longsword): melee magic weapon attack (+9 to hit*, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: D8+8* slashing damage PLUS target has disadvantage on its next attack roll until start of Arrarat's next turn)

BONUS ACTIONS
Second Wind (2/Long Rest*): Regain D10+8 HP. Regain one use of Second Wind after Short Rest.

SIGNIFICANT ITEMS
Defender +3 (longsword): May reduce its attack bonus to +2 or +1 and apply the reduction as a bonus to AC until the start of his next turn.
Shield +1: Add +3 to base AC.

DESCRIPTION

Arrarat is tall and muscular with black hair and green eyes. He was at
one time trained to be a Ranger, but found that he couldn't live within the restrictions of that stoic group and so left their company to adventure elsewhere. As a fighter instead. He is brave and courageous, but can be somewhat casual in his duties. He is quick to form friendships, for even the slightest of reasons and is prone to follow his whimsical nature into trouble.

He is known by several titles -- Arrarat the Gifted, the Unfortunate, the Lucky, the Foolish, the Bold and the Avenger. And he is liable to change titles as often as his fortunes change. --CKW

DESIGN NOTES
I believe that I know Tim, and that he was friends with Neil. This is a pretty straightforward writeup of the character. The Guide background describes his pre-adventuring Ranger days pretty well: providing low-level druidic magic and outdoor skills. I also added Toughness to reflect his rustic background. And Lucky was an inspiration from his list of epithets. I chose Champion for his background as a default. --LM
