TRAITS
Evasion: When it is subject to an effect that allows a DEX save to take only half damage, it instead takes no damage on a successful save and only half if it fails.
Magic Resistance: Advantage on saves against mind-altering spells, any spells that involve locomotion or displacement effects.
Preternatural: Does not need to eat, drink or sleep.
ATTACKS
Multiattack: It can make up to two claw attacks.
Claw: melee natural attack (+3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: D6+1 slashing)
Description: The Stair Stalker is an emerald-hued shaggy humanoid with an obsession for staircases. It endlessly climbs up and down staircases and only attacks in self-defense or whenever someone tries to pass it in either direction on the staircase.
DESIGN NOTES
This is the sort of random, bizarre creature that I needed for my ongoing Infinite Staircase campaign. Just a walking obsession with hands and feet, an unreasoning something that can only be dealt with, peacefully or not. An amuse-bouche of a monster. From the pages of White Dwarf #9.
