TRAITS
Arcane Recovery (1/Long Rest): Recover up to 2 levels worth of expended spell slots.
Minor Alchemy: He can temporarily alter the physical properties of one nonmagical object, changing it from one substance into another. He can perform a special alchemical procedure on one object composed entirely of wood, stone (but not gemstone), iron, copper or silver, transforming it into a different one of those materials. For each 10 minutes he spends performing the procedure he can transform up to 1 cubic-ft. of material. After 1 hour, or until he loses concentration, the material reverts to its original substance.
Resourceful: Gain Heroic Inspiration after completing a Long Rest.
Ritual Adept: Can cast any spell as a Ritual if it has the ritual tag and is in his spellbook. He needn't have the spell prepared, but must from his spellbook to cast it.

DESCRIPTION
Ralph is your typical wizard, or rather stereotype thereof. He appears to be an old man with a bushy beard and frosted hair, in shabby robes and a pointed hat. He always gives the air of being distracted, a little put-out, and he likes to use many long words to express what could have rather been easily said with just a few, well-chosen short words.

DESIGN NOTES
Ralph is one of three characters from the barely-humorous story "The Search for the Forbidden Chamber." With his 2nd-level spells, I tried to pick some useful, but somewhat sub-optimal primary spells for him to reflect his relative incompetence as a wizard.
